Group: Pitch - Audience Feedback

  • What was effective in terms of pitch and presentation? What areas would you improve?
An effective technique for our presentation was using prezi as it helped us visually present our ideas to the class using photos and text and we were also able to show videos.
We would improve the digipak analysis if we were to do it again as we should have given the style more thought and included a mock up of a digipak; however we were unable to do so as we were unsure of how to do this using Photoshop, although we could have sketched a rough idea out.

  • What are the strengths of our concept?
Good Narrative
Up beat song fits well with activities included in narrative storyline
Desaturated filter will be effective
Good storyboard ideas
Sunset shot to end video will be effective
Large cast
Nice shot ideas
Interesting locations

  • What are the areas for development?
How the digipak will look
How much footage will need to be filmed due to the fast paced cutting
What activities are happening in the lanes to be enough to fill the time
Shot ideas running throughout

  • What are the key areas which need to be tested on our target audience?
The narrative plot in our music video; if this is going to appeal to our target audience.
Our idea to project images over the singers face to make it more visually interesting or just to have a black room with singer lip singing.

  • What ideas do we have for storyboarding?
Make links between the two storylines to portray happy/optimistic feel
Making sure we can film in the car effectively as this will be a large part of our video
Keeping in mind which video effects we are going to use
Making sure we can include all characters in each necessary shot so we can realistically stick to the storyboard while filming.
